AGEING SKIN
Face creams and oils for mature skin
Everyone’s skin ages, it is a natural inevitability. Skin loses elasticity as we age as we produce less collagen and it also becomes thinner and dryer. As it is less strong and elastic, it can form wrinkles. The skin also becomes more affected by free radical damage which can make skin tissue ‘degrade’ over time.
Signs of ageing skin are sun spots, hyperpigmentation, dry skin, wrinkles or sagging. You can help by protecting the skin from the sun, use skincare with vitamin A, good moisturisers, staying hydrated and eating vitamin-rich foods. Tip: Relax your face, lots of squinting and frowning can speed up the formation of wrinkles - why not try some face yoga, or an ethical silk pillow.
