Overview

Make a bespoke facial oil using beautiful organic plant oils and then learn how to give yourself a Gua Sha facial treatment to treat skin and boost wellbeing. Lunch will be a nourishing soup and salad, all vegan and GF. Refreshments available throughout the day. 

Content
Make a facial oil for your skin
In this workshop you will learn about base oils, infused oils and essential oils. You will formulate and make an oil that is right for your skin type or conditions. You will also learn a facial massage sequence that you can use to apply the oil to maximum effect.

Gua sha facial massage
In this workshop you will learn how to give yourself a Gua Sha facial massage to contour and smooth the skin. Great for circulation, lymphatic drainage and skin brightening.

Gua Sha is a traditional Chinese technique to promote circulation, relax muscle tension, support lymphatic elimination and the skin’s regenerating processes.

It involves the gentle sweeping and pressing of the stone against the skin on the face neck and upper chest to stimulate the circulation in the layers of skin and soft tissue.

About Marian
Marian Hardiman is an experienced massage therapist and facial massage teacher based in Presteigne. She is also the founder of award winning Silvan Skincare, formulating and making botanical skincare products here in Presteigne.

About Frith Meadow
Frith Meadow is home to The Carn, an off-grid eco cabin built by its owners Becks and Bill. Nestled on the edge of the ancient woodland, The Frith is situated in Stapleton just outside of Presteigne.

Becks and Bill built the off grid cabin using sustainably sourced environmentally conscious building methods. Using local suppliers and labour to build and create the bespoke interiors. 

Bring

Please bring your gua sha stone if you have one, or you can select one to buy on the day - the stones are £20 each.

Facial oils and the full range of Silvan Skincare products are available to sample and purchase if you wish on the day.

Payment

£65 includes welcome drinks and delicious lunch. Refreshments available throughout the day. 

During Silvan Skincare workshops, you will practice and learn routines that you can use at home as part of your self care and skincare routines. You will receive a complementary workbook so that you can remember the sequences. You will also have an opportunity to sample and use Silvan Skincare products. You will receive 20% off any Silvan Skincare product purchases on the day of attending the workshop.
