Our new hand cream has launched!

Marshmallow and Calendula Hand Cream – our brand new nourishing and soothing vegan skin saver. 

This is the latest addition to our range of vegan creams, balms and oils.
Our hand cream is packed with nourishing organic oils, shea butter, marshmallow, calendula, grapefruit, rosemary and cedarwood to treat and repair dry hands. It is a fast-absorbing, beautifully rich cream without a greasy feel - a little goes a long way.

Vegan and cruelty free skincare

As with our other balms, the hand cream has been certified as cruelty free under the Leaping Bunny programme and registered with the Vegan Society.

Dry hands from washing?

Self care is more vital than ever at the moment. Our hands are enduring endless hand washing, sanitising and anti bacterial/viral sprays so it is important to look after our skin and support the important function it is carrying out.

Hand washing removes the skin’s natural oils and breaks down the moisture barrier - this repeated many times daily can be a recipe for dry, cracked skin.
The skin on the back of our hands is delicate, it is thinner and can become drier more quickly than that of the palms.

Winter is also a major cause of dry, thirsty skin.

Is hand cream the same as hand lotion?

It is always preferable to choose a cream over a lotion for your hands, as you are getting more oils and therefore more vitamins, omegas and ‘food’ for your skin.

Try and moisturise your hands several times a day

The best time to moisturise hands is immediately after washing them, whilst they are still damp, holding in more water. Our hand cream soaks in quickly so that you can use it throughout the day. Keep the hand cream by your sink so that you can use straight after handwashing. Don't forget to buy one for your pocket/bag as well!

For a more intensive treatment, put the cream on at night and wear a pair of cotton gloves to lock in the moisturising properties.

• Our organic shea butter is sourced from a women’s cooperative in Ghana. Shea butter moisturises the skin and restores elasticity. Its protective and healing properties make it especially suitable for dry and damaged skin.
• Classic organic olive oil offers nourishing, softening and protective properties to relieve dry and chapped skin.
• Marshmallow oil maintains moisture levels in the skin by boosting hyaluronic acid levels, soothing dry, itchy and chapped hands.
• In the form of CO2 extract from organic calendula flowers, calendula is widely known for its exceptional healing properties.

The creams come in lightweight aluminium pots which are 100% recyclable or can be re-used: use them to store buttons, spices or pins!
